Moh’d A. Al-Nimr :

born in 1962 , received his Ph.D. (1991) in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Michigan/Ann Arbor. He then joined the faculty of Mechanical Engineering at Jordan University of Science and Technology, Jordan, where he has been teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in thermal power while conducting research.

He has published about 234 articles in the areas of heat transfer (macro-scale heat transfer, micro-scale heat transfer, heat transfer in porous media, classical heat transfer models, thermal and hydrodynamics behavior of micro-channels, etc…), mathematical modeling, and different fields of energy (energy storage, generation, conversion, management, saving, renewable, etc…).

He was awarded King Abdullah II Award for Innovation (2010), Scopus Award for Distinguished Researchers (2009), the Abed-Alhameed Shoman Award for Arab Scientists (1994), the Jordan University of Science and Technology medal for distinguished scientific and academic achievement two times (1997, 2006), the Hisham Hijjawi Award (2003), the Jordanian Writers Society Award for Short Stories (2004) and the Mechanical Engineering Department award at the University of Michigan/Ann Arbor (1991).

He has the highest number of publications in Jordan as mentioned in a study about the status of the scientific research in OIC (Organization of Islamic Countries) member states and conducted by the COMSTECH (A standing committee for scientific and technological cooperation in the OIC). He was the coordinator a Tempus European Joint Project.

He worked many times as an expert to evaluate the EU projects of Tempus, FP7 and Erasmus Mundus programs. He acted as an Editor of International Journal of Applied Engineering Research for 3 years and he is acting now as an Associate Editor for 12 journals such as Energy Conversion and Management, Energy-The International Journal, Int. J. Thermophysics, Jordanian Journal of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering, The Open Thermodynamics Journal, Journal of Thermodynamic, International Journal of Engineering, Associate Member of the Scientific Council of Rio’s International Journal and many other Journals. He participated in the international committees of more than 55 international scientific conferences.
